What do you do when you’re alone? What do you think, feel, daydream about, and desire? What do you read, watch, and listen to? Do you tend your soul and guard your heart in solitude?

Owen observed that time spent alone can be either your best time or your worst. Times of solitude can be rich seasons of prayer, meditation, and fellowship with God, or they can be occasions of temptation and sin.

Solitude reveals who you really are. Times of solitude are an index to the heart.
